Investigator -  Antibody Engineering - Biophysics Team

ROLE OVERVIEW

We are seeking a highly skilled Investigator in Antibody Discovery & Engineering (ADE) with expertise in molecular biology, protein production and analytics to support discovery activities. The successful candidate will support screening, expression and characterization of mono and multi-specific antibodies. This role requires deep technical knowledge, strong problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams. The position is laboratory-based within the Biophysics Team of the Antibody Discovery & Engineering Department. The successful candidate will join an innovative antibody/protein engineering department with a strong record of success in developing novel antibody therapeutics in the field of immuno-oncology.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Clone, express in mammalian cells, and purify therapeutic antibodies
  • Characterize antibody candidates using analytical methods (e.g. SDS-PAGE, SEC, HIC, Nano DSF/DLS, DSC, IEF)
  • Characterize antibody candidates using biophysical and developability assessment assays (e.g. AC-SINS, polyreactivity ELISA)
  • Develop and perform protein-protein interaction assays, including kinetic, epitope binning, blocking assays (ELISA, SPR, Carterra LSA, BLI)
  • Implement new technologies as required to improve efficiency of the group (e.g. high-throughput SE-UPLC, automation)
  • Be a hands-on presence in the laboratory
  • Perform data analysis and documentation
  • Write formal technical reports, methods and procedures
  • Accomplish goals under project team timelines
  • Communicate effectively and in a timely manner activities status and research progress to senior management
